Dad, you were more than just a loving parent, you were a true friend, a confidant, a guiding light and I will always cherish all the wonderful memories we made together and as a family. The way you conducted your life was truly exemplary and a source of inspiration to me, especially in your last 6 years where you quietly fought the battle with cancer – twice. We all knew you suffered but in your own unique style, never complained and always changed the subject to ask after us instead.
I’m so very proud to say that you were my Dad and will never stop loving you.
Rest in peace.
I am very proud to call you my Grandad, a very selfless, calm and collected man who always gave you the time of day. The way you battled against cancer multiple times and showed the strength and determination to not let it beat you will always amaze me, I wish I had told you this in person. I will always cherish the memories. Rest well Gramp, all my love, Kieren.
Dearest Uncle Fred,
Your life was a blessing,
Your memory a treasure,
You are loved beyond words, and missed without measure. Now at peace. Lots of love Lesley xxx
