I first meet Gerard just over 30 years ago and am afraid was responsible for his move into IT!! I have fond memories of his help and support over the 20 years we worked together and was always impressed with his calm and professional demeanour, often with a twinkle in his eye.
My thoughts are with you all.
Ian
We will always remember Gerard and his great sense of humour. You will be sadly missed by the whole family
In Hong Kong for our joint 50th birthday trip Gerard said ” I fancy a light lunch, I’ll just have a bit of fish”. his eyes nearly popped out of his head when he was served up a gargantuan seafood platter.
Gerard was our not so secret Santa, our quizmaster, our airport transfer co-ordinator and most important a good friend who brought warmth and humanity to every situation. For his family he was a loving husband and an immensely proud Dad and Grandad. he liked his music, sport and appreciated a nice” Full English” he was also a dancer. His life is well worth celebrating. Like the seafood platter he squeezed a lot in.
We can allow ourselves a little sadness that he passed too soon.
I will greatly miss our friendship of over 40 years, but will have very many fond memories of our family vacations and many get togethers.
Gerard, your legacy will live on in your wonderful children and grandchildren.
Already sadly missed by all who where lucky enough to know him.
Gerard was a good friend of over 25 years. We shared some very happy times together, whether camping with our young families, or under a parasol near a Greek pool.
More recently, he showed great patience during horticultural lessons at his allotment!
He had a great sense of humour, compassion and was a kind man. He was very proud of his family.
We will miss him greatly.
RIP Gerard – You will be sadly missed – always helpful and friendly to everybody you came in contact with. A friend to everyone
Gerard was a great mentor and friend and will be sadly missed. RIP mate.
Just a great person to be around be that at work or in the pub. You will be sadly missed by so many. Rest in peace Gerard.
Phil and I are so sorry to hear about the sad passing of Gerard and our hearts go out to Gaynor, Alex, Emma and Liam and all the family who have lost a big part of their lives.

Gerard. One of the nicest most caring people I’ve ever known. A good friend. I’ll miss you.
We met Gerard through mutual friends, Dave and Sue Eatwell. He made an impression on us with his smile, his wit, and the way he made us feel as though he’d known us always!
You touched our lives, if only for a brief time- so thankful for that! Gaynor, our thoughts are with you. God bless!
Safe passage Gerard. Taken too soon.
Our thoughts and prayers to you Gaynor
So sad knowing such a wonderful man has left us. Such a lovely man, cheeky smile and twinkle in his eye. Just a kind gentleman. He loved his family very much and is loved very much in return. Gérard will live on in the hearts of family and friends through wonderful loving memories and stories but very sadly missed.
Heaven has a new angel. Rest in peace. Xxx
Gerard you were a fantastic uncle who was such an important part of my childhood and now with my own family. I have so many lovely memories and one of my favourites is when you turned up on my wedding day to drive my bridesmaids to the service with a shiny posh car decorated with ribbons, wearing a chauffeurs cap ❤️ You always had so much time for all of us. We will all miss you dearly.
Quick witted and an absolute joy to be around. There was always laughter and brilliant conversation.
Thoughtful, understanding, and a true gentlemen. Rest in peace Gerard.
Love and strength to Gaynor, Alex, Emma, Liam and their families x x x
