Well what can I say, I miss you uncle Ray so much, he was a true gentleman, with the best story’s, I could listen to him for hours telling me about the army and his childhood, somedays he had me laughing so much, especially the tractor tyre. It was a pleasure to have been looking after him the last few months to his final hours, I will cherish the time I had with him. Sending Sharon and Shane the biggest hug and love also to his in-law and grandchildren. Rest easy soldier, thank you for serving our country and thank you for being the best uncle. Love you and miss you always. Xxx

Uncle Ray, I will always cherish our time together with me riding ‘shot-gun’ with you up and down the country, and helping you with your narrow boat. The stories, my oh my, the stories!
I still tell the one about a group of soldiers who are on patrol along a jungle river in Borneo and a snake drops into the boat from an overhanging tree and someone decides to shoot the snake!
    Thanks for the memories.
Your shift is over Drive, switch your tacho to ‘rest’ xx
