I was so saddened to hear of Anthony’s passing. My fondest memory was meeting him and Ann back in the 80’s when we took my mother back to England for her birthday. May he Rest In Peace.

    Dad

You will never know how much I love and miss you, my heart is truly broken.

I know that you are not suffering anymore.
You fought right until the very end, but in the end you were too tired to fight anymore.

I hope you are at peace now. Sleep well, knowing that we will all take care off Mum and we will never forget you ?

    Love you Dad

Remembering Tony and the happy times he and Ann spent with us recently at our Friday morning group – especially the beautiful willow heart he and Ann made and decorated with dried flowers. He was so skilled and thoughtful.

We were saddened to learn of Tony’s passing.
Tony was a gentleman, very kind caring man and so proud of his family and his home.
We always really enjoyed visits with Tony, Ann, Amanda and Sarah when they came to Canada. He was adventurous and seemed game to try new things, to travel and to see the world.
We are thankful to have known Tony and so glad he made the journey to see us all those years ago.
We will keep those fond memories near to us.
Love to Ann and all of the family.

Tony was indeed a gentleman and a scholar…!! He was easy to talk to and genuinely cared about people… I remember him visiting us during the olympics and we were of course cheering for Canada and he was of course cheering for England… we had some good hearted banter !!! some times canada and England were both not in the top and that caused a laugh… we will miss Tony !!!!

I’m so sad that my lovely cousin Tony is no longer with us, I have happy memories of him while I was growing up, like when he gave me a ride on his scooter along Court Farm Road. I always thought we would meet up again before long but it wasn’t to be. He was such a lovely person, may he rest in peace.

Sorry to hear of my cousin Tony’s passing. I remember when we were young I would annoy him and he would tease me back. I always remember how he would look in the mirror to check his hair then get his comb out to comb it back in place.
    May he rest in peace.
    Love Jackie, Brian & Helen

    So sorry for your loss.
I remember when Tony ,Ann, and Amanda came to visit us. Our adventures out to the mountains all crammed in the car listening to ABBA and John Denver.
Tony helping out with the driving where he was soon reminded he wasn’t in the UK anymore. Dad still let him drive lol. Tony was also put to work when he came to visit and left his fine carpentry skills mark at our Elstow hall.
I also remember when I was a young 21 year old traveling across the pond for the first time how Ann and Tony met me at Heathrow and looked after me for a week. Doing all the tourist things especially taking me to Clovelly and Lynmouth. Tony driving me back to London and finding out he really didn’t like driving in London, (who does) but he did it and I was thankful.
I was lucky enough to see Tony’s garden at the start when it was a little pond he certainly put a lot of love into that garden.
Tony was a quiet man but I loved his sense of humor and kindness. He always took such pride in everything
he did. What an amazing life he lived .
Always in my heart, he will not be forgotten. Sending love and hugs to all.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Tony syers. I did not him personally as I am a freind of his daughter Amanda .I’m writing this because I know how loved he was by Amanda and the rest of his lovely family and I know how greatly missed he will be . Amanda was always there for her dad and remains there for the rest of her family she has always spoken highly of her parents and supported them all the way . ? I am so happy he is laid to rest with his parents and grandparents and I’m sure this brings great comfort to Amanda and her family . Sending love and blessings to you all
