I feel privileged to have known Emma, if only for a short time. I am sad that it couldn’t have been longer. She was unflinching in her brave approach to living and dying. I remain full of admiration for her emotional honesty and when I remember her I will think of her cheerful smile. Our heartfelt condolences to the family.
Thinking of you all.
With warm regards,
Fondly remembering Emma.
In memory of a lovely friend. So kind, thoughtful and caring, and such a wonderful empathetic teacher. I am proud to have known Emma as a fantastic work colleague and, much more than that, a good friend, who I will miss very much indeed xx
Thinking of you all today,
With love from Gill and Nigel Coates
Dear Malcolm ,Fiona ,Kirsty and Claire, (and George)
My words are of little consolation at this time of loss, but I just wanted to say how much your words and singing moved me in the precious time I spent with you, thinking of Emma and being immensely thankful for her. What shone through was her inspiring attitude to life and her loving fortitude through adversity.
As I had a train to catch to York later in the afternoon I am sorry not to have joined the family gathering to represent Peter and Mary’s ‘offspring’, but I would just like to say I look forward to the time when it becomes possible to meet up to properly celebrate and commemorate Emma in a larger gathering.
Much love and sympathy,
Michael
