I was fortunate and privileged to have had Mel as a close friend over the years. A hard working Honorary Secretary that helped make the club the success it is today. You will be sorely missed on the flight line. RIP

Very saddened by Mel’s sudden passing. A friendship over many years, enjoying flying, holidays and social events. A great loss to us all, especially to the club he did so much for.
    Some wonderful memories RIP

Mel is already very much missed. I for one enjoyed our chats especially about all things aviation, and in particular the RAF (I’m ex RAF). He was very supportive to all with his smiling welcome.

His sudden departure has been such a shock to us all.

    Per Ardua ad Astra.

A wonderful friend, an excellent working pal at Swindon Model Air Club, remembering all the years we plodded away to build a replica Hercules and the enjoyment of flying the plan. The wonderful evenings at the Mess evenings with Maggie and Angus. Memories which will last forever and enjoy talking about.
