Rest in peace Jacko…..always a pleasure to fly with you and enjoy your wonderful company. Wishing you blue skies and tail winds to the final landing mate….?
Jacko flew as my back up Flight Engineer when we represented the RAF at the Fincastle Trophy in 1984. After we won we then flew to Perth in WA for 2 weeks on an exercise. On the last night, Jacko arranged a huge farewell party at our local bar in downtown Perth. What a night, that’s all I will say!!!!
Jacko what can I say, you will be missed by many, you were an inspiration not just to me, but to everyone, you were always there not only for your own family, but mine and countless others too, may your light shine forever , as it will forever in mind and your wonderful family lots of love from me and my family god bless you x
Goodbye old friend. You were one in a million Jacko. So many people had their lives enriched by knowing you.
Keep a place in the ‘Scruffs Bar’ for me. RIP
Very sad to say farewell to Jacko. Small in stature but big in personality, he brought a smile into the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. We will not see his like again. RIP old friend.
Thank you for teaching Paula, Chris and how not to cut our feet on broken bottles in Malta by cutting your own foot. Making Chris, Paul and I take off our swimming trunks to be used as bandages was resourceful. Thank you also for inspiring generations of Airforce children to practice the art of drinking whilst standing on one’s head the moment they reached university.
Rest in Pearce and Rise in Glory !
Jacko we will miss you very much, where ever you were there was laughter and fun. I love this photo of you and Bobby looking across the Scottish countryside putting the worlds to right..we love you Jacko x x
Jacko we will miss your laughter, stories and the joy you brought. You have left wonderful memories of fun times. A true Legend and gentleman. X
My enduring memory of Jacko was seeing him hanging by his legs from the arms of a pilot who was hanging by his legs from a chandelier. As they swung from side to side, the pilots arms weakened and Jacko got lower and lower until he cleared the table below of glasses with his face. An absolute legend who will be sorely missed. Our condolences to Jess and the family at this difficult time.
Jacko I’ll always remember your cheer, humour and the stories of a life well lived you would bring with you when you came up to visit the Speights, Rest in peace
Our condolences to Jess, Paul, Chris and family. RIP Jacko x
It was an absolute pleasure to have known Jacko. His infectious laughter and beaming smile are what will stick with me. Rest in the arms of the angels and show them how to party!

RIP our dear friend, we will treasure the memories of the times we had with you. It goes without saying you were not only held in high regard by the aircrew but also the groundcrew who worked alongside you. Blue skies and you can rest easy at top of climb (TOC).
